Lissy plans comeback into films!

Lissy, who announced her separation from Priyadarshan recently after 24 years of marriage, is gearing up for a comeback to films. The actress, who quit movies for marital bliss more than two decades ago, is apparently quite serious about reviving her acting career. A source close to her informs us that Lissy has chosen a Kollywood film to start her second innings.
“Lissy will play the lead in National Award winning director Ram’s next film. It is a mature role, she plays a 45-year-old woman in the film,” says the source. The actress reportedly was quite impressed by the script and was more than happy to play a role that is close to her age. “She is reading several scripts. However, this will be her comeback film. Ram’s earlier venture, Thanga Meengal, had won three National Awards and the Filmfare Award for the Best Film in 2013. Lissy is more than happy to associate with a director his calibre,” says the source.
Priyadarshan and Lissy got married in 1990. Lissy was a busy actress in Malayalam films and Priyadarshan was known for his blockbuster movies at that period. She has acted in Telugu and Tamil films as well.
